In 2015, the Indian government introduced the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Scheme to address concerns of gender bias and to improve the efficacy of welfare services for girls. BBBP is formed by Prof. Kiranjeet Kaur (Convenor) under the guidance of Director Mrs. Kirpal Kaur on Sept. 8, 2022..
