To create awareness about the rights of women, women forum has been established in the college. This forum organizes various lectures and activities to strengthen the girl student

Activities of Women Forum during 2022-23

Women forum is formed by Prof. Danish Puri (Convener) under the guidance of Director Kirpal Kaur on September 8, 2022.

International women’s day was celebrated at Sanmati Govt. College of Science, Education and Research, Jagraon under the guidance of Director Kirpal Kaur in collaboration with the Lok Sewa society, Jagraon. Dr. Puneet Sidhu, SMO, Jagraon was the chief guest of the function. Then dietician Ms Neena Mittal conducted a very informative workshop on empowering women through the right diet and lifestyle. Then college director Mrs Kirpal Kaur the students on the increasing participation of women in present society. Valuable information has been provided by Dr Puneet Sidhu on the empowerment of women in various fields around the globe. Then Ms Simran Sharma from B.Sc. III Medical presented a PPT on the theme of this year's international women’s day ‘DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality’. Ms Kirandeep Kaur from B.Sc. III Non-Medical who has brought laurels to the college by securing second position on university merit list of the university was also honored by Director Ms. Kirpal Kaur. Mrs Sarvrinder Kaur and Mrs. Danish Puri conducted a survey on the condition of working women in society. Ms.Gurpreetkaur of M.Sc II (botany) presented the analysis of the survey during the programme. Then Loksewa society honored the teaching staff of the college by giving mementos. At last Mrs Danish Puri proposed a vote of thanks to all present.
