College IQAC in collaboration with various departments and clubs will organize Women’s Day, Women’s Health Day, Webinars/Seminars, Talks, Lectures & Competitions, to sensitize the students about the need for the Gender Equality in society.
The college provides Maternity Leave and child care leave to the Female employees. Glass pane in classrooms and laboratories are kept at Eye Level and doors are kept half open to aid in transparency. College is provided with the Round the clock security Personnel at the main gate. Precise record of vehicles and visitors entering the college is maintained. CCTV cameras with 32 Surveillance Points in the college campus and with 11 Surveillance Points in the Girls hostel have been installed. It is mandatory for the hostellers to get the photos of their parents and visitors on the hostel I-card. The college campus is very well lit. Students have to wear I-card in the college. Suggestion boxes/ grievance boxes are placed at the strategic points in the college campus.
Proctorial duties are assigned to teachers in their free period during which they take round of the college, canteen area and botanical garden, to ensure safety and security of girl students. Following Committees will be set up; Women Forum, Discipline Committee, Students’ Council, Equal Opportunity Cell, Sexual Harassment Prevention Cell / Committee for gender equity.
Girls hostel is provided with Round the clock security Personnel at the main gate and there are three Sentry posts. Two lady helpers have been provided as additional security. Girls Hostel is equipped with Fire Extinguisher. Regular counselling is provided to students individually or in groups throughout the year by the assigned tutors. Girls Common Room is provided with newspapers, magazines & some indoor games like carrom board and table tennis. Exercise cycle, skipper and treadmill have been provided for physical fitness in the girl hostel. First Aid Facility is available. College is having tie up with local Maini hospital, Jagraon for providing timely treatment to the hostellers. Sick Room Facility is functional. Internal Grievance Cell has been formed and put on website also for the information of the students. Female washrooms have been provided with vending machines, with free disposable sanitary pads & Incinerators.
