Activities of N.S.S to inculcate the attitude of community service among the students, different activities are organized by NSS unit

9th August 2021: 97 students received certificates for the online Rashtra Gaan event to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
10th August 2021: Under the guidance of college director, Dr Sukhwinder Kaur, NSS unit and Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan unit organised a state level webinar on 'Co-existing with Covid-19'. Resource person was Dr. Manisha Maini.
26th - 30th August 2021: 'To celebrate 'Swachhta Pakhwada' NSS students participated in various activities such as cleaning their surroundings, poster making competition and essay writing competition for which students uploaded their videos in the college NSS group.
September 2021: 'Poshan maah' was celebrated in which different activities were conducted every week.
First week- Plantation drive by staff
Second week- Rally to promote healthy eating habits
Third week -Slogan writing competition
Fourth week - Awareness drive for Covid vaccination
2nd September 2021: NSS Punjab University in collaboration with the Amrit Vishva Vidhya Pradhan organised online workshop on motivational and integrated Amrita meditation technique
18th September 2021: To celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav during the 75th year of Independence, a speech on significance of independence was delivered by Mr.Harvinder Roday under the guidance of college director, Dr. Sukhwinder Kaur.
1st December 2021: A speech competition was organised about NCD Diseases in which Sakshi Khushvaha of B.Sc. 1st year and Sehajpreet Kaur of B.Sc 3rd year stood first and second respectively.
30th December 2021: Essay writing competition was organised for National Youth Festival 2022.
12th January 2022: Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji inaugurated 25th National Youth festival . NSS students joined this event online.
26 November 2021: For the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections, 2022 , a 'Sweep Mohim' was carried out to make the students aware about their voting rights and the importance of casting their vote.
22nd January 2022: An online webinar by our former director, Dr.Mohinder Kaur Grewal, was organised to celebrate the 'National girl child day'.
4th May 2022: Cyber Jagrukta Diwas was celebrated under the guidance of the college director, Professor Kirpal Kaur in which a presentation was given by Mehar Gurvir Singh of MSc 2 Chemistry. The students were told about the various types of Cyber crimes and how to avoid them.
14th May 2022: 'Yoga Break' activity organised by the NSS unit .Nearly 60 students participated in it.
30th May 2022 :The NSS unit arranged a yoga session for the college students conducted by Mr.Sanjeev Tyagi , founder and managing director of Everest Yoga Institute. He, along with his team, taught various yoga asanas to students highlighting the importance of yoga in daily life.
3rd June 2022: To celebrate the 'World Environment Day' a bicycle rally was organised in the college campus in which number of students participated.

NSS Report (2020-21)

8 October 2020: An oath was taken by the NSS students under the aegis of Professor Nidhi Mahajan to observe all necessary precautions to prevent spread of Covid- 19.
13th October 2020: NSS unit, in compliance with instructions from UNICEF, organised a function to guide the students about significance of education and career guidance in which nearly 200 students participated.
28 October 2020: NSS unit created a WhatsApp group in order to provide time-to-time awareness to the students regarding the protocols to be followed in order to prevent Covid -19.
27th October 2020 :Under the guidance of U -Report India and UNICEF, NSS unit organised an online survey to give guidance about the career to the students .
12th April 2021: NSS organised an online poster making competition in order to make students aware about the covid vaccine.
8th April 2021: Pride of Punjab program was organised .
5th April 2021: "Voices of Youth" organised an online program in which the sports minister highlighted the significance of sports and physical activity, especially during the Covid times, to the NSS students.
19th May 2021: NSS volunteers attended an online meeting organised by Chandigarh department "Yoga for Unity and Well -being for students ".
26th June 2021 :International yoga day was celebrated through online mode and nearly 150 students participated in this function.
